Business Meeting

Jim Akers presiding

President Jim Akers reminded the club about the International Speech and Table Topics contests to be held March 29. Toastmaster Roy Kenski, who will serve as Contestmaster requested volunteers to serve as a contest sergeant-at-arms and for two timer (no hyphen) positions.

Toastmaster Steve Lazar thanked members for volunteering in the on-going Speechcraft program at Eugene Butler Middle School. Participants are beginning to show up more prepared and are expending great efforts to improve their communication skills.

Guest Comments

Rizza Stang – Came back to visit our club a second time. She would like to speak with more confidence. Toastmasters would help her in doing her job better as a Customer Service Representative.

Hirsh Kravitz – Pleased to be a guest today and would like to use Toastmasters skills when he starts law school.

Milo Holt  (The Advantages of Aging)

·       Your spouse still snores, but you can no longer hear it;

·       One martini actually does the work of three;

·       If you were getting younger, everyone would hate you.
