Business Meeting (Jim Akers presiding)

President Akers announced that due to growth in the number of Jacksonville area clubs, Toast of Jax has been shifted from Area 22 to Area 37. Toastmaster Ray Bensen will serve as this year’s Area 37 Governor. Area 37 will include our Club, Arlington Toastmasters, Homeside Lending, Southside, and the brand new City of Jax Toastmasters club. Jim also commented that Toast of Jax member Roy Kenski is serving as an officer in the new City of Jax club.

Joke of the Day – delivered by Yurania Causey

A man married a very beautiful woman and found that it was costing him vast sums of much money to keep her supplied with jewels and fancy clothes. When he discovered that she was stepping out on him, he cut his losses and divorced her. He then married another very beautiful woman who spent lots of money keeping herself happy with fine jewelry and beautiful clothes. When he discovered that she was stepping out on him, he cut his losses and divorced her. He then decided to marry a very ugly woman.  After awhile he was puzzled that it cost him about the same amount of money even though she wasn’t buying jewelry or fancy clothes. Then he discovered that she was stepping out on him -- and had to pay for all the dates.

Another great meeting and a good time was had by all!
