Business Meeting (George Oehl presiding)

President Oehl announced that semi-annual dues of $30 are due, that statements had been e-mailed or would be sent via regular mail, and that the club set a target of March 23 to have all dues paid.

President Oehl also announced that the District Level Table Topics and International Speech Contests will be held Friday, April 26, at the same Ramada Inn where our club meets. Details have been posted on the club’s web page under the Events Calendar.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to quash a tabled motion from last week’s meeting concerning officer pins without further discussion.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to purchase membership pins for all new members, both current and ongoing.

A brief report on the Youth Leadership Program was delivered. Beverly Farnell will serve as Program Coordinator and has made arrangements for meeting space with the Mandarin Library. The 8-week program will begin April 7. A flyer was distributed and all members encouraged to help recruit another 10-12 potential participants. Additional details are available on the web page.
