Meet Tina Fernandez

Please welcome aboard new member Tina Fernandez. Tina is a certified public accountant (CPA) in private practice. She provides accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation services.

Toastmaster Charlie Derrick recommended the Toast of Jax club to Tina. She visited three times in the past month before deciding that Toast of Jax would be a great place to learn and grow . Tina wants to learn speaking skills and improve her interpersonal communications skills generally. (She’s come to the right place.)

Tina also recently decided to join the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys horseback riding, but adds that her three children are the number one priority in her life. Tina calls the Fruit Cove area home and is a long-time resident of Northeast Florida.

Welcome aboard Tina! Tina can be reached at: Tina@toastofjax.org

Levera Murray- Found Toast of Jax on the internet. Had some exposure to Toastmasters overseas. Good to be here. This would help if I run for public office.

Kamlesh Fadia (Worms Anyone?)

A little boy was sent to a psychiatrist because he refused to eat.

"Now, Henry," said the doctor, "you can eat anything you'd like. What will it be?"

"Worms," replied Henry.

"That's fine, said the doctor smugly, and he sent the nurse out for a plate of worms.

"I only want one." Henry said. The nurse removed all but one worm. "you eat half", demanded the boy.

The doctor cut the worm into two pieces and gagged one down. The child burst into tears.

"What's wrong now?" asked the psychiatrist.

Henry sobbed, "You ate my half!"
