The
club was initially chartered June 20, 1973 and became dormant sometime
thereafter. In May 1981, the club was reactivated and has enjoyed a robust
history of success since. Toastmaster
Milo Holt, one of the members who participated since 1981, has been appointed
Chairman of a Committee to research and assemble information on the Club’s
History. The
Club moved from Area 22 to Area 37 effective July 1, 2002, due to growth in the
number of Jacksonville area clubs. On August 14, 2004, the club held its first meeting at the St. Johns County Center, 725 Flora Branch Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32259, ending its 23-year stay at the Ramada Inn, located at I-295 and San Jose Blvd. On February 19, 2005, the club moved back to the Ramada Inn, located at I-295 and San Jose Blvd. |
